Wade Williams

September 01, 1917 – August 22, 2013

Obituary

Wade Williams was born on September 1, 1917, in Spearsville, Louisiana to parents, Mary Williams and Billy Williams. His siblings included five sisters and three brothers. Times being what they were, Wade did not have the opportunity to complete his education at a young age; he quit school to help take care of siblings. Wade accepted Christ at a young age and kept his Christian Faith and belief throughout his life.
He knew the importance of family and was devoted to them. Wade carried this love through his life, giving and caring for everyone he encountered. Later on his parents and family moved to Arkansas, where Wade decided to join the United States Navy in 1942. In Jeneva, Arkansas, Wade received an Honorable Discharge. He returned to his family.
Wade later relocated to California, where he found employment as a foreman at United Paper Stock Company. He was a dedicated employee for more than 40 years before he retired.
In 1961, Wade met the love of his life in Jessie. The couple united in Holy Matrimony and this devoted union of 50 years lasted until the passing of Jessie.
In his spare time, Wade enjoyed playing cards, fishing and cooking delicious foods. His specialty being chicken and dumplings; this dish had people coming from everywhere to eat. Barbecue was another one of his specialty, with his special sauce that took a world of patience to make with all that stiring, and we know Wade had the patience of Job.
On August 22, 2013, Wade made his transition. His parents, his beloved wife Jessie Williams; sisters, Lettie Williams, Dollie Williams Beatrice Williams, Bamesa Williams, Louise Williams; and brothers, W.T. Williams, Louis Mencer and Lee Mencer, all preceded him in passing.
Rejoicing must be taking place with them all together again!
He leaves to cherish precious memories, his children: Minnie Williams of Little Rock, AR, Annie Sinkewicz of Buena Park, CA, Debra Baker of Los Angeles, CA, Joycelyn Williams of Los Angeles, CA; grandchildren: Nikita Edwards (Virginia), Jeffrey Sinkewicz, Jason Sinkewicz, Maurice Andrews, Korion Baker, Keiron Blue, Keisha Blue, Miyoshia Lymon; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
